HEALI co-founders, Enwei Li and Heather Sloan, were featured in the Globe and Mail for their journey overcoming funding challenges as a women-led businesses selling innovative products. Initially aiming to provide affordable natural health products, Heather and Li encountered difficulties finding funding due to the size of the industry and the COVID-19 impact. On average, women entrepreneurs generally struggle to get credit through financial institutions and receive less funding compared to businesses owned by men. TD recognized their potential and provided HEALI with crucial support, including a significant line of credit and connections with other female founders, empowering them to learn and grow the business successfully.
