Product Basics
Heali Tape Pro is a wearable support tape designed for movement, recovery, and everyday physical activity. It is intended to be used as part of a wellness and support routine and is not intended to replace medical care.
Heali Tape is intended for ages 12 and up. It is designed for a wide range of users and activity levels. If you have specific concerns, sensitivities, or skin conditions, review the precautions on the Heali website and consult a healthcare provider before use.
Ingredients and Materials
Heali selected menthol and magnesium as part of its product formulation after testing different ingredient options. These ingredients are part of the product’s support and recovery story and are included where stated on official Heali product pages.
Heali Tape Pro is made from synthetic silk that is elastic, breathable, and moisture wicking.
Yes. Heali Tape Pro is latex free.
Heali Tape Pro is designed to be latex free and hypoallergenic. Anyone with known sensitivities should still test carefully and follow official Heali guidance.
Some people feel a tingling sensation from the menthol and some do not. The tape may still work even if you do not feel a tingle. Rubbing the tape after application may help activate the ingredients and improve adhesion. Menthol and magnesium may also feel more noticeable when the tape gets wet, such as during a shower or through sweat.
Transdermal magnesium refers to magnesium that is applied through the skin instead of taken orally. In Heali products, magnesium is included as part of the overall product formulation and wellness approach. It is used to support the brand’s focus on movement, recovery, and everyday comfort. For more information, refer to official Heali product and support pages.
Application and Wear
For best results, apply the tape to clean, dry, oil-free skin. Plan your placement before sticking it down. Heali also recommends applying tape about one hour before activity when possible. Rub the tape after application to help improve adhesion and activate the ingredients. Avoid applying tape to sensitive areas such as the back of the knee or the front of the elbow unless specifically instructed.
Cut the tape to the desired length or width and round the corners to help reduce peeling or curling.
If you need to remove the tape after application, it is best to use a new piece. Re-sticking the same strip may reduce adhesion and performance.
Heali generally recommends avoiding unnecessary layering unless a specific application requires it. If you need additional coverage, follow official Heali instructions for the intended use.
Heali notes that some users may feel more sensation than others. In some cases, additional strips may increase sensation, but they should not overlap unless the application specifically calls for it. First-time users should start conservatively.
First-time users should begin with one strip for the first 24 hours to see how their skin responds before using more.
Heali does not recommend applying kinesiology tape over long body hair because it may pull with movement and cause discomfort. Trimming or shaving the area before application may help.
It depends on the product. Heali Sports Tape is designed to stay on the body for about 4 to 7 days. Heali Bump Tape is recommended for up to 24 hours, followed by a 24-hour break for the skin.
No. The tape can be removed earlier at any time.
Yes, but follow official Heali guidance for wear and removal. For best results, avoid removing the tape in the shower.
Safety and Precautions
No. The tape should be removed first before using heating pads, ice, or topical creams on the area.
Heali Tape should not be applied over open wounds. Applying it over extremely dry or peeling skin may cause slight itchiness. Heali suggests exfoliating the area or moisturizing the day before application, while still applying the tape only to clean, dry skin that is free of oils and creams.
Do not apply Heali Tape over open wounds or irritated skin. If irritation occurs, remove the tape and discontinue use. If you are unsure whether the product is right for you, consult a healthcare provider before use.
Testing and Certifications
Yes. Heali states that the tape has been tested by an independent Canadian company for heavy metals, microbiology, skin irritation, and tape adhesion. According to Heali, the product passed testing for minimal skin irritation, minimal reactions, minimal sensitivities, and strong adhesive qualities.
Heali states that Heali Tape Pro is FDA approved, Health Canada approved, and has CE, ISO, and FSC certifications. Heali also states that Heali Tape Pro boxes are FSC certified.
