HEALI co-founders, Enwei Li and Heather Sloan, were featured in the Globe and Mail for their journey overcoming funding challenges as a women-led businesses selling innovative products. Initially aiming to provide affordable natural health products, Heather and Li encountered difficulties finding funding due to the size of the industry and the COVID-19 impact. On average, women entrepreneurs generally struggle to get credit through financial institutions and receive less funding compared to businesses owned by men.
